Calvard calculates that the animals we eat emit 21% of all the carbon dioxide that can be attributed to human activity. We could therefore slash man-made emissions of carbon dioxide simply by abolishing all livestock. Moreover, there would be no adverse effects to health and it would be an experiment that we could abandon at any stage. “Worldwide reduction of meat production in the pursuit of the targets set in the Kyoto treaty seems to carry fewer political unknowns than cutting our consumption of fossil fuels,” he says.
Are you willing to sacrifice eating meat for the environment? driving for 2 hours non stop using an average saloon car gives out less emission than the preparation of 1 kg of meat. This piece of fact has been ard since 2005 and a lot of people are still unknowing of it. Eating meat is like driving a fuel guzzling suv whereas becoming a vegetarian is like driving a fuel efficient hybrid car whereas becoming a vegan is like riding an emission free bicycle.
I think its human nature to think life on earth in indefinite and will not end during their time.
- We are told judgment day will come, people try to push it out of their heads.
- we are told Global warming is suffocating the earth, people try to push it out of their heads.
- we are told sea level may rise 20m, people try to push it out of their heads.
- We are told a larger tsunami might happen soon, we……what? i cant hear you?!?. we fly right out of hot leads? ohhh. yessss. we try to push it out of our fragile little heads. correct.
Life is changing. The strong winds that has been felling some trees and causing roofs and camps to fly is soo scary and deadly you might say. This is a part of a bigger picture you see and all you need to do is connect the dots.
If you think the gale here is blowing with the speed turned to full then think long and hard. Have you forgotten about Myanmar? hundreds of thousands of people killed because nature has released a big can of puting beliung onto the unfortunate ones. If here in Brunei which is a > thousand kilometers from the cyclone eye is experiencing all this scaryy nightmareish winds. imagine being right there in Myanmar where another hugee cyclone is hosted. Houses collapsing. Cars flying. trees falling. and a couple HUNDRED THOUSAND dead bodies surrounding you. i think THAT is what you could call a nightmare. Please god, keep us safe.
I think Brunei have been safe from disasters because of all the people out there speaking in malay. like ‘HAPPY birthday’ will suddenly be translated to ‘SELAMAT hari jadi’. notice the selamat? You can find this happening in other things too such as good morning and welcome. think abt it.
Okay. this concludes the end of another “whats wrong with the world?” post and until next time. buh byess.
It seems that the cyclone affecting Brunei is located closer to the phillipines. my bad.
